Road trip
 

From nyc have 10 days for road trip to halifax where my wife has family. figured i would stop in Boston for 2 nights. Would like to see some of Maine Coast and Bar Harbor without too much time with slow driving up coast since i need to spend time in Halifax.
Recommendations please. Is ferry operate from bar harbor to halifax. don't wnat overnight ferry

There are on ferries from Maine to Nova Scotia any more.

sorry, above should have read there are "no" ferries.

There is a ferry from St John, New Brunswick to Digby Nova Scotia, but its not clear that will save much time (though it does cut down on driving all the way around).

The Saint John-Digby ferry won't save time unless your arrival coincides with its departure, but it does save a somewhat boring road trip. You could fly Boston to Hfx if you could save Maine coast for another trip....
