Road Trip

We are taking a road trip from Chicago to New Orleans then onto Florida. Any suggestions for interesting stops and an overnight stay on route to NOLA?

are we there yet????

Memphis is a good overnight stop - Graceland, Civil Rights Sites, Beale Street...

Nashville is a great stop on the way down. Atlanta could be a great stop on the way back. Both cities can be vacations by themselves.

I have heard that Natchez, MS is a pretty nice place to visit. It is known for its antebellum homes.

Go to www.lightninrv.com and then click on "Rentals" in the menu on the left. Once there, again in the menu on the left, scroll down to "Special Events Calendar" for hundreds of events happening all over the country. But, don't just look at it for the time period you're going, as the locations listed are great places to visit, even if you miss the event.

Then scroll down to "Travel Links" for hundreds of more fun and/or helpful ideas on having a great time. Our part of the website is designed with "Road Trip" in mind!

Thanks for the helpful response. Looks like we will be traveling down 55 and plan to stay either before or after Memphis..sorry, no time for Elvis. Any suggestions for a hotel/motel on 55? I know it's not the great adventure, but my friend is anxious to get to Nola.

Thanks again,

Lucci
