rkkwan's Utah National Parks pictures

I went to visit Zion, Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef NPs at the end of August, and did some hiking at the first two. Also had a few pictures of Temple Square at SLC. Enjoy.

Thanks. I am not going to write a trip report as many have visited Zion and Bryce Canyon; but I do want to say that if times allow, one should try to include the Scenic Byway UT12 and Capitol Reef into their itineraries. It's very quiet but very beautiful out there.

Thanks again for the remarks.

Looking back at all the pictures in the albums, I'm surprised myself to see how different the colors were at each place. I guess the human eye and mind are sometimes "too good" in adapting to the different colors and light level that I didn't appreciate the color difference as much when I was there as I do now.

I will start process my Grand Teton/Yellowstone pictures next.

Another great photo journal, Ray.

This area fascinates me. The orange colors are, to me, very unusual. And when you get that sunset "glow" on them, they become even more beautiful.

Definitely agree with the UT12 route. Love the scenery along there.

Well done!

Great photos, Ray! Love this part of the states as it is so beautiful!

What lens did you use for the landscape shots (faraway)?

BeachGirl -

The faraway shots were shot with the Canon 70-200/4L IS. Some with a Kenko 1.4x extender, which makes it a 98-280/5.6.

The wide-angle ones with the Tokina 11-16/2.8.

The "normal" ones the Canon 35/1.4L.

With a Canon 40D.
