Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia
My wife and I just spent two nights in Philly at the Rittenhouse Hotel, and it was truly amazing. The service is incredible, the rooms are huge and comfortable, and it's walking distance (albeit fairly long) to everything worth seeing in Philly. For the money we agreed that we have never stayed in a better hotel, and we have been many, many places. Definitely check this hotel out if you are going to Philly.

Rittenhouse Square (just outside the hotel) is one of my favorite parts of Philadelphia for spending a relaxing afternoon. And Walnut Street becomes something of a shopping and dining mecca to the East of the square. I agree - it is a great place to stay for a trip to Philly. But talk to the concierge before wandering too widely, because if you go too far south or north you will run into some rough neighborhoods.

What is the easiest way to get from airport to Hotel?
|
Easiest way is by taxi. It is $25 flat rate and takes about 20 minutes.
A cheaper alternative is taking an airport shuttle, or take the SEPTA R5 train directly from the airport terminal to Suburban Station. The SEPTA ride is $5.50pp, and the Suburban Station is about a 3 block walk to Rittenhouse Hotel. |
I am so glad to hear that this hotel is still wonderful. I used to have a client who put me up there, and I loved it. Good food, large (vast) rooms with good views, and baths that offered every luxury. And the staff was wonderful, as you say. I have no idea how much it cost them, but I certainly did enjoy working for them!
