Ride the Duck boat collides with barge in Phila.
 

A Ride the Duck boat collided with a barge in the Delaware River in Phila. There were 37 people on board. They have accounted for 27 people so far. The coast guard rescued many and so did some pleasure boaters out on the river so all of the people may be OK, but just haven't all check in yet.
They did have on their life vests. So..when you go on a boat or plane and they tell you about the life jackets make sure you LISTEN!

Updated report...two people are unaccounted for at this point. The accident occured about two hours ago.

wow that is just horrible!

A 17 year old and a 19 year old are missing. My thoughts are with the parents.

That is simply horrible. I read a few articles after this was posted and it sounds like it was a horrific event.

Only thing I can find is that two are still missing :(

The 16 year girl's body was recovered around 5:45am this am. The 20 year old male has been located but is still lodged under the barge.

Both were visiting from Hungary.

Oh Lord. I am deeply deeply sorry to read this. So tragic. :(

They now have recovered both of the bodies.
What a shame. A group visits from Hungary on a church sponsered "language trip" and two of them are now gone. Many of the others lost all their money and passports, etc when they went overboard. I will pray for all fo them.

In San Francisco the boats are suspended due to this collision. Probably till they figure out what happened.

They have stopped the Duck Boat tours in all cities.
