Richmond BART station

We are going to an Oakland Raiders football game on Sunday. We'll be driving down from Marin County in the morning and then heading north back toward Oregon after the game. Is the Richmond BART station a good place to park on a Sunday afternoon?

Thanks!

No.
I stay away from Richmond, Vallejo, Concord. But then again, you're going to Oakland. Park under a light, with as much public view of your vehicle as possible.

Would it be better to go to one of the Berkeley stations?

FainaAgain Nov 9th, 2005 06:53 PM

Is there parking by the stadium?

CaliNurse Nov 9th, 2005 06:57 PM

There's the "Coliseum" BART station from which you can easily walk to the Stadium (about 5 miunutes, via an overpass) if you want to park in a BART parking lot.

Yes, there is parking at the stadium, but we would rather take BART and avoid the traffic after the game. Anyone else have any opinions on the stations between Richmond and Berkeley? I know this has nothing to do with Patrick, but it matters to us. ;-p

Mab, thanks for explaining. In that case, I'd chose either of Berkeley BART's parking lots, rather than Richmond. However, I think there's a flea market at the Ashby BART station on wekends. That might affect the amount of available parking.

Try N. Berkeley BART station on Sacramento.

You can use the drop down menu for parking info on the one you want. Thanks for taht, SAB--my last post was not very specific. From N Berkely Parking there's easy access to the U.S. 80 North, heading West on University Ave or Gilman St.

Go Raiders! :)

Faders won't make it this season.
Until Al Davis hangs up his white patent leather shoes and matching belt. Until Al Davis hangs up his chrome eyeglasses with the matching leash chain. And, now, the Traders are discontinuing the Personal Seat License agreements that so many fans paid huge $$ for, each year. There's no resale left in the PSL for individual "investors" in the additional 8,000 seats that were added to that Coliseum. That man will never learn.
