Chicago lunch- River North or near Hotel Allegro
I'm looking for a great place for a light lunch either near the Hotel Allegro, or close to the galleries located around Superior and Franklin in River North. Not Italian or Mexican (those are covered with other plans). Sushi would be my first choice, or possibly a good seafood restaurant.
Thanks!

How about Bin 36 in Marina City? It has great windows looking out on the cityscape, excellent food, is a reasonable stroll from where you'll be, etc.
Or the Atwood Cafe in the Hotel Burnham (State and Washington). One of my favorites.

Most emphatically NOT a seafood/sushi fan here, but some other considerations in your general Superior/Franklin area would be Crofton on Wells (on Wells) and Nacional 27 (Latin American) on Huron. I'd definitely advocate Rick Bayless' Frontera Grill/Topolobampo, except you said Mexican was already taken.

There's a restaurant on Wells called Karens Cooked--it's the mostly veggie restaurant of a chef who is a big part of the raw food movement.
Sushi Samba Rio is on Wells around Grand--Sushi/Latin fusion (no, really--it's yummy!) and Naniwa (just north of there) is more traditional sushi.
For seafood, there's Catch 35 in the Leo Burnett Building--35 W. Wacker, right across from the river.
Those are my initial thoughts.

If you want seafood in Chicago some of the best is at Shaw's Crab House which is in the area you are asking about. Locals and visitors both love it!
