For a nice dinner in a good restaurant try Cripple Creek. They use local produce when possible in this high quality and classy (for the area) establishment. Reservations suggested.

The Panda House has great inexpensive Chinese food.

There's a lot to see in the area:
*FDRs home and museum in Hyde Park
*The Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park
*Montgomery Place (beautiful restoration and grounds) in Annadale
*Plus a lot more.
Check out the website www.hvnet.com.

Best place to eat. Just 2 or 3 miles down the road from the Roosevelt complex at Hyde Park are the restaurants of the Culinary Institute of America. The food is prepared by the students under the watchful supervision of their instructors. Served beautifully. Excellent place to have a meal, one of my favorites.

I agree with the Culinary Institute! You might want to make reservations now though -- they are sometimes hard to get.

My daughter will be attending the CIA next fall, so I'm looking forward to many memorable meals there!

It's probably already too late to make reservations for a June weekend at the Culinary Institute. So, you better try immediately if you're interested.
