Restaurants with kids in Chicago
We are heading to Chicago with our 2 boys ( 9,6 ) and are staying near the NAvy Pier. Can you recommend some good restuarants ( not too pricy, but willing to pay for a quality meal) my boys are really good at restaurants luckily
Thanks |
Reva's at Navy Pier is good..but if you eant to leave that area, there are tons of pizza places, thai, chinese, Italian etc...
My kids enjoyed Cheesecake Factory near the John Hancock, Star of Siam on Illinois, Maggiano's, Gino's East for Pizza...they are all on the north side... |
My children love Big Bowl; two locations downtown. North Pond in Lincoln Park is nice-great food. Lovely restaurant in Millenium Park; I think there's even outdoor seating. Try metromix.com for a comprehensive list of Chicago restaurants, broken down geographically. Navy Pier restaurants tend to be overpriced.

If you order chicken at Big Bowl, be sure to ask that they cook it. Was served raw chicken there a couple of months ago, and contracted what I believe to be food poisoning.

Also, check out chicagokids.com. I noticed that they have a ton of info on enjoying Chicago with children.

Check out Webber Grill Restaurant (539 N. State Street). Best kid meal value we've ever seen. Also, Buca di Beppo (521 North Rush St) is a great place for families - large portions, kids meal options, fun environment.

Ditto to Weber Grill - my grandson (12) and I go there everytime we are in the city. We sit at the counter to watch the cooks do their thing. That is fun also immediate seating. Not a quiet place and pricey - but still enjoy it.
We also went on Segways last year and we loved it. They were very careful and clear with their instructions. |
I love Big Bowl; their appetizer sampler is awesome.
