I just had a lunch at a wonderful sandwich shop. Used to be a food truck, now stick and mortar. Odd location, not sure why anyone would be in the area unless you're like me, visiting someone who lives there. SE 39th AV. and Gladstone St. About $8. Beer and wine.

Gorgeous food, a stack of veggies heaped with a stack of thin sliced, tender and flavorful roast pork. The thinnest slice of cheese somewhere in there. I get mine without the bread because I'm one of those gluten-free people, but the bread is so beautiful it makes me want to cry. It's from Pearl Bakery and is crusty and chewy looking. They make some of their bread products in-house, I assume the biscuit is one of them. And the most lovely, thin sliced fresh-cooked potato chips. I have died and gone to heaven. Huge portions, so share or expect to have leftovers. My sister had a grilled sweet potato/marscopone sandwich, again with grilled green kale and rapini. mmmm.....

wow pdx- that sounds great. I am just down the road in Eugene- almost incentive enough for me to jump in the car and drive north for a late lunch. Will definitely check it out next time I am up there.
