Restaurants, New York
Will be in New York for theatre next weekend.
Have the opportunity to eat at either Jean Georges or Daniel Restaurant. Has anyone tried either? Other suggestions?
Why bother searching? You've already come with two of the best! I hope you already have reservations for next weekend. Otherwise, you may already e too late!
Actually, I have reservations at both; one of which will be cancelled. I cannot find a website or any info on what is on menus at each place to make final decision.
Try newyork.citysearch.com. Somewhat detailed reviews and readers post mini-reviews as well. You can also check the archives of the nydailynews.com for the past year for reviews; unlike the NY Times, it won't cost you.
Ahhhh! I should have such problems! Hey, toss a coin. You're in a win/win situation!
Hey Howard, you're great! You just started my cold, rainy morning with a good laugh :)
Any time, ma'am! Hey, does that mean you'll take my wife and me with you as your guests when you decide? (I'm not fussy nor demanding. Either restaurant will be fine!)
www.restaurantrow.com has menus for both.

enjoy!
Thank you very much Mike - it's exactly what I wanted. Don't want to go somewhere and be suprised with the memu. Thanks to you I know where I don't want to go and I am also using restaurant row to check out others.

Dee: You are right with the daily news - I was able to find reviews and more information. Not being a New Yorker, I though of and went to the Times for info.

Howard, Howard, Howard - what can I say? Maybe you should also check out restaurant row - you may take back your generous offer
Okay, I checked out the menus, and I pick Jean Georges!
as everyone else has said, both are wonderful. I think Jean Georges was the best meal I've ever had in NYC (and I eat out frequently). it is a gastronomic "experience"... worth every penny!
