restaurants near DC hotel
Will be at the rtiz carlton for a wedding - the one on 22nd st. staying a few days extra. any place very near by for a quick, cheaper breakfast or lunch?
|
Within three or four blocks, there are all sorts of options, depending on your definition of "cheaper" and "quick." There's Starbucks, of course. If you head down M Street as the numbers get smaller, there are all sorts of places for a quick breakfast and lunch, depending on your interests.
You aren't far from G-town, DuPont Circle, the West End, or Foggy Bottom so any restaurnat in those neighborhoods would work |
Definitely go to Bread & Chocolate for breakfast - it's on 23rd just north of M St. There is a market on 23rd called Federal Market that has the best chicken salad sandwiches. It looks just like a small convenience store but the sandwiches are fast, inexpensive and good. Also, there is a Cosi at M & New Hampshire which has breakfast and quick lunches. If you have a little extra time on your hands, I recommend Vidalia on M St - excellent southern food.

About five blocks, I'd say:
Luna Grill & Diner, 1301 Connecticut ave, NW Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. - Midnight Saturday, 10 a.m. - Midnight Sunday, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Kind of an interesting place with an interesting crowd and a good breakfast menu. (There is a bruch on Sundays). Not too expensive, either. |
Cheap & Fast Bagel place on P street across street from Radisson/Barcelo.
Lots of places, really all over that area. |
I really like Luna, too. But it is small so it fills up quickly. Get there early.
