Butter, right down the block. Go to menupages.com to see the menu. Gorgeous space. Upstairs is more formal, downstairs is casual, but the food is the same. Also, Serafina for Italian.

FYI to SDUEH. Blue Man plays downtown on Lafayette St. To give you an idea, that is at about Broadway and 7th St. Baldoria is 8th Avenue and 49th. Not in the same neighborhood as Blue Man.

For excellent pricey try Gotham on 12th Street between University and 5th, around 15 minute walk from the theater. For excellent new york experience go to the second avenue deli on 2nd avenue and 10th Street, two minutes from the theater. Franks is great Italian on 2nd between 5th and 6th. In any case, after the theater consider getting dessert at Vinieros on 11th between 1st and 2nd, close to 1st.

Thank you for all of your suggestions. Price is really not an option, so keep them coming!!

If price is not an issue, I would suggest Five Points at 31 Great Jones. Or if you like suhshi, Bond Street Sushi (6 Bond St) is pretty much my favorite in the city and is not far at all from Blue Man.

If price isn't an issue then try Union Square Cafe or Blue Water Grill in Union Square.

Indochine is right across the street I think.

Re: Veniero's.

They're good for an espresso and dessert, but avoid the bridge and tunnel crowd and go to DiRoberti's, around the corner at 176 First Ave, btw 10th & 11th Streets.

Just as good as Veniero, without the wait. Okay, IMHO, better ;-)

Just my 2 cents...

Il Buco is also close for Italian.
