Restaurants Near Ambassador Theater

What restaurants do you recommend that are very close to the Ambassador Theater? Seeing Chicago at 8:00 and would like less than a 10 min. walk from a restaurant. Any price/cuisine is fine.

There are roughly 200 choices. Any "theatre district" restaurant is about that distance.

But I'll jump in and suggest Roberto Passon -- wonderful Tuscan food in a nice little restaurant where you aren't jammed in, and delightful service at reasonable prices. It is at 50th and 9th, close to the Ambassador on 49th near 8th.

Baldoria is on the same block as the theater (Italian) and has a prix fixe dinner for $35/person. Check reviews and menu here http://menupages.com/restaurantdetai...mp;cuisineid=0

The other day Doug Stallings (editor here) mentioned a restaurant I haven't tried called Tintol that sounds great. Spanish/tapas and only a few blocks away. http://menupages.com/restaurantdetai...amp;cuisineid=

If you're looking for ethnic food, Pongsri Thai is a block away.

The Ambassador is near 8th Avenue & 49th Street, so Tintol might be a bit far (still probably within the 10-minute commuting distance). I'd suggest looking at the places on the so-called "Restaurant Row" on West 46th. Becco is excellent but incredibly busy. I sometimes eat at Le Rivage, which is a very old-fashioned French restaurant. And, of course, my favorite is Vice Versa, which is on 51st Street. Marseille is also close by. Just make reservations.

Since the OP says, "...Any price/cuisine is fine," I would certainly go for a higher-rated place than some of the suggestions.
For starters: Orso or Lattanzi on West 46th, Redeye Grill at 56th & 7th or Remi on 53rd between 6th and 7th.

Perfect place -- Sosa Borella on NE corner of 50th and 8th -- practically around the corner from the theater. It's Italian with a slight Argentinian twist. It's my favorite pre-theater spot that doesn't attract pre-theater crowds. The downtown location is more well known, but this one is equally as good.
