Restaurants maui and oahu question

Hello all

I am looking for suggestions on casual and moderate places to dine on both islands

Examples of what I have found so far that interests us are

in Maui
Aloha Mixed Plate
Lahaina Fish Company
Stella Blues
Cheeseburger in Paradise

What other local casual places do you like to dine at while at these islands

Thanks

I forgot to add that in Maui we will be staying in the Wailea area and in Oahua we will be in Waikiki

On Maui, Tommy Bahamas in Wailea, and Sansei in Kihei.

In Oahu, some nice places we enjoyed:
1. Cha cha cha-Seaside drive-Mexican with 2 happy hours-and a local twist to your usual mexican-nice specials and cheap prices for Waikiki.
2. The Shorebird-we went for dinner and enoyed the oceanfront setting and the fact that you pick out your fish, chicken or beef and cook it yourself on a huge grill. The salad bar that comes with your meal is also very good. There is a nice breakfast buffet I believe but we only went for dinner. It is located at the Outrigger Reef. Moderate Prices
3. I know it's very touristy-but I really liked Cheeseburger in Paradise. I really liked the potstickers. This is located on the main street.
Enjoy

On Oahu, for casual, we liked L&L (plate lunches)and Kau Aina (in Haleiwa) for great burgers.
On Maui, in addition to Aloha Mixed Plate, we liked Da Kitchen and Manana Garage. If you're headed to Hana, stop in Paia at Picnics and pick up a box lunch. You get a sandwich, chips, cookie and beverage. The shrimp curry was very good.

On Oahu try Coconut Willy's. It is located in the International Marketplace. It is a fun place. Good lunch food and live entertainment. There is a dance club that meets there a lot and that makes for good entertainment. Not expensive at all and it is very casual. I love this place.
Have fun!

Almost every restaurant in Hawaii seems casual, although not all are moderate. In Honolulu, I thought that L'Uraku was an excellent value. The food was gourmet quality but the prices were mid-level. I can't tell you where it is exactly but you do need to take a cab from Waikiki.

In Maui you have got to go to Maui Tacos in Kihei.

Aloha Mixed Plate in Lahaina is excellent!

On Saratoga in Waikiki I like Buzz's Steak House, it's a stuck in a time warp kind of place that is a relief from the disneyesque places that abound in that neighborhood. There's also great choices at the food court at Ala Moana mall.

Suze

Buzz's Steak House closed earlier this month.

oh no(!) but thanks for the update Dusty. i always appreciate your information.

i was worried it might be a casualty of the BeachWalk/Lewers Street revamp of that part of town. i'm wondering if that's why? seems like it had been there forever (or at least that's how it felt). what a shame.

again thanks.
