Restaurants Manhattan
Can any of you other "Fodorites" give me suggestions for dinner restaurants in Manhattan, preferably Mid Town, but we can cab it anywhere.
Thanks! alevi |
What kind of food do you want and what price range? If you stand in midtown and throw a rock, you'll hit 25 restaurants, it really depends on what you like to give good recommendations.

NYC has hundreds of good restaurants and dozens of great ones. So -
First - there are numerous threads on this if you search below. Second - if you want us to help you, please tell us Cusines - what you like or hate Budget - do you want entrees of $15 or $75? Atmosphere - do you want romantic, traditional, trendy, casuale? |
Do you know about menupages.com? Pick an area, pick a cuisine, get a list. Read reviews, look at menus.

No offense, but there are probably well over 1,000 restaurants in NY that span every cuisine and price. I'll take a stab and suggest a few French spots.
If you're not on a budget, Le Bernardin or La Grenouille. A more moderate priced spot is Mas in the Village. If looking for value, I like Tout Va Bien. |
We had a great multicourse meal and very good (and relatively inexpensive) wine (an Austrian Gruner Veltlinger and a PT Duoro) at E. U. on 4th bet Aves A & B on 16 Feb.

I second Mas Restaurant. We ate there recently and it was quite good and seemed hip at the moment ... You do need reservations since it is a small place and it is always full ... our more extensive impressions here : http://www.seetheglobe.com/modules/w...=6&lid=233

There are over 10,000 restaurants in Manhattan alone, so you certainly won't have a problem finding something at fits the bill.
Menupages.com is an excellent suggestion as is Zagat's Guide, pick one up when you get here and you won't have a problem finding a restaurant no matter where in the city you travel. Have a great time while you are here. |
