We were in Sedona recently and enjoyed dinner at Elote Cafe. Found Mariposa a bit disappointing.

We also enjoyed Elote in Sedona, plus Oaxaca for Mexican.

Ditto HappyTrvlr's rec about the original El Charro and especially their Carne seca.

In Sedona, we have liked Cafe Jose for breakfast. It's not high end at all, but tasty inexpensive things like huevos rancheros.

We went to Downtown Kitchen & Cocktails in Tucson 2 nights ago for happy hour and ordered several items from the bar menu, all of which we enjoyed. We also really liked the tacos at Seis which is in the same Mercado as Agustin Kitchen.

Be sure to try the Sonoran hot dogs at El Guero Canelo in Tucson - even if you don't like hot dogs. Amazing!!!

Downtown Kitchen in Tucson is owned by James Beard award winning chef Janos Wilder. He has owned several restaurants in Tucson theough the years and wanted to retun to downtown area so opened this restaurant. Glad you enjoyed it.

We enjoyed The Mission in Old Town Scottsdale this past weekend. Their tacos were delicious, the guacamole they make to order tableside was a treat and the rest of their menu looked delicious, as well.

Service and ambiance were wonderful... its noisy indie so we asked to sit on the patio near the fireplace and it was perfect.
