Restaurants in South Maui
Well, we're off for a month to Maui on Feb. 8 for 3 wks and then 10 days in Kauai. We've gone to so many restaurants in S. Maui through the years (Mama's, SeaWatch, Sarrento's) and would like to try something different this time. Does anyone have any suggestions? We definitely would like a place with a view. We also did a 5 hr. snorkel trip with Pacific Whale Foundation and would like to try a different company this time although PWF was wonderful. Any suggestions from that side? Thanks for any assistance.

In general, I found dining around Wailea to be disappointing. But our favorite was Humu-humu. The setting is very pretty and rather South Pacific looking. And the food was excellent.

I tried that site and it was blocked because of pornographic material???

We ((L)) Humuhumu as well, and also enjoyed Spago and Nick's Fishmarket :P. If it's about the snorkeling, the Kai Kanani early morning Molokini trip is a good value, IMHO. www.kaikanani.com/snorkelmolokinitour.asp

If you mean the site for Humu-humu, try this
http://www.grandwailea.com/resort-dining/humu.cfm We took the Kai Kanani morning snorkel (not the early morning, express, the regular morning deluxe tour), and really enjoyed it. I liked the crew, and they seemed to have a good spot at Molokini. Also, the boat doesn't have to sail very far. You spend a lot of time snorkeling, and then just relaxing and enjoying lunch. Not much time actually sailing. This could be a plus or a minus depending on your point of view. You don't get a lot of coastal sightseeing. |
