Restaurants in SF

I know this has been covered but I need some reasonable restaurants in SF.However this is the situation. My older teens are a vegetarian and a very picky eater. Both won't touch shellfish, but will eat some fish. Any ideas? We are staying in the marina. They like Italian and I like French.

Go to chowhound.com. Find the San Francisco board, and post this question. You'll get lots of knowledgable, well-informed opinions.

Take them to North Beach for good Italian.

Green's at Fort Mason is known for a vegeterian menu that non-vegeterians can love.

Brandy Ho's chinese, North Beach Pizza.

At the Cheesecake Factory, a fun restaurant atop Macy's, you can share a huge salad and an appetizer or two, you don't even need to order entrees. Save room for one of the many many kinds of cheesecake, like Fudge Brownie, Peanut Butter Cup or Key Lime.

believe it or not many of chinatown's eateries can cater to vegetarian diets...there is the ever popular House of Nanking, but I adore their neighbor Chef Gia, both are reasonable...in San Fran there is always an abundance of fresh fish. good luck.
