Restaurants in Las Vegas

I'm taking my mother on a surprise trip to Las Vegas to see Celine Dion in celebration of her 80th B-day. I need the name of a good restaurant near Caesers for the night of the show, as well as restaurants for the other 3 nights we are there. She eats like a bird, so it makes no sense to go upscale. Please let me know if you are aware of any decent restaurants where we can have a decent meal, but not break the bank. My food budget is $650 for 4 days.

Cheesecake Factory? Stage Deli? Chinois?

I wouldn't consider any of those to be upscale. There's also a food court at Caesars which is actually pretty nice.

We had a very nice meal at Mon Ami Gabi in the Paris Hotel. I thought it was very reasonable for Vegas (around 80.00 for 2, including wine and an appetizer). We had an outside table with a view of the Bellagio fountains too.

I can second the vote for Mon Ami Gabi. Food is delicious and the view is great.

Lots of restaurants right at Caesar's and in the Caesar's forum...and sharing is fine in most places, in fact it's the norm in places like the Cheesecake Factory where there's lots to sample and you want to save room for dessert. Bertolini's Italian has delicious brick oven pizza, Stage Deli is fine for breakfast, Chinois is not pricey at lunch, and Cafe Lago gets good reviews. Even the "food court" at Caesar's is kinda classy and has good stuff.

Cafe Bellagio at the Bellagio next door is probably the restaurant to head for if you find yourself looking for a meal while checking out that hotel. On the other side of Caesars, The California Pizza Kitchen (great salads!) and the Coffee Shop in the Mirage are both good.

Thank you all for your input. Mon Ami Gabi was on my list, so we'll book there for the night of the concert.

The Italian restaurant--whose name escapes me right now--that is in the Forum shops alongside a lovely fountain is a good choice. They have reasonably priced pasta dishes and a really pleasant ambience, esp if you request an "outdoor table" near the fountain. Another plus, it is close to where you are going for the show.

socialworker - that Italian restaurant in Forum Shops is Bertollini's. I remember it well, because it was the first restaurant my husband took me to on our first trip to Vegas so many years ago.

Thanks Simone!! We have eaten there twice in the last few years and find it very pleasant. Hope that you and your husband are continuing to create fond memories. :)
