Looking for nice somewhat inexpensive places to eat in Honolulu around Wakiki beach

Keoni is one of my favorites. Thai-American menu, breakfast specials, good lunch prices, with dinner being more expensive, but all the food is good. It's at the corner of Kuhio and Kaiulani.

The Shorebird has a great breakfast buffet, located in the Outrigger Reef hotel. Also there is Kani Ka Pila which has great live music in the evening, decent food and moderate prices.

Cheeseburger in Paradise has moderate prices and a large menu, it is on Kalakaua.

I think the Thai restaurant referred to in the above post is "Keo's"

It's got a nice atmosphere and reasonably priced.

No, Keoni is an offshoot of Keo's, more or less at the other end of Waikiki, and is less expensive than Keo's.

Sam Choy's - on the airport side of downtown Honolulu - is great. Also love the Thai places, going over to Chinatown for Dim Sum/whatever, and sometimes we pick up locally made/or even make our own sushi/sashimi for a little picnic at the beach, in the room if we have a nice view, etc. :)

My favorite inexpensive place is ME Korean BBQ at the Royal Grove hotel. It has great breakfasts, cheap. It's a casual place with outdoor patio seating just off the sidewalk and very near the beach down towards the DiamondHead end of Waikiki.

I like the brunch buffet at Shorebird at Outrigger Reef.

Don't miss the 'Food Courts', there's one at International Marketplace, at Royal Hawaiian shopping center, and Ala Moana mall. All kinds of food. You can walk around and see what's available, and get food either to eat there or to-go.

Also there are plenty of ready-to-eat options to make picnics either for the beach or to eat on your hotel room lanai at the ABC Stores and Food Pantry grocery store. Sandwiches, salads, cut fruit, sushi, noodles, etc.

Even McDonald's has cups of fresh pineapple cubes. Yum!

Sorry, I forgot. St. Germaine's bakery on Kuhio has wonderful baked goods and makes sandwiches as well. I adore their custard-filled long johns, and the croissants are delicious.

Sorry Aloha. I was reading too fast and only saw Kuhio and a "K" street. that would also describes Keo's, but at the start of Kuhio. I'll have to look for Keoni's next time I'm hungry in
Waikiki!

Lcuy, the last couple of visits we have stayed at the Waikiki Circle, and Keoni is just about three blocks from there, so it is really convenient. We really like the Kuhio Park area :)

try "early Bird Specials" at several places where you can get great meals for a very reasonable honolulu pricing.....Never had brunch at shorebird but I think their dinners are getting a bit pricey we haave als just gone out for sushi and potstickers at some hole in the wall places on Kuhio near International mkt place. Aloha

suppose we need to know what "inexpensive" means to you. I wouldn't eat at McDonalds no matter how "inexpensive" it was. More info would be helpful....
