Restaurants in Concord, NH area

We just moved to Concord a month ago, and just ate at Olive Garden for the third time. I've had it! Isn't there any fine dining in this town?!

There was a similar thread not long ago, scroll down!

Since you LIVE in Concord, why not ask your neighbors, co-workers, anyone?

There's some good restaurants such as Cheers, The Barley House, and Common Man. I haven't eaten at the Olive Garden but I would make a guess that the Italian food at Veano's is better. You might want to drive out of town for fine dining. Our favorite is the Homestead in Meredith. I think they also own Fratellos in Laconia and Manchester. I keep meaning to try Cotton or one of the other Manchester restaurants. And I would love to hear any comments on the Centennial in Concord.

I stayed and had dinner at the Centennial at the end of September. It was the first night of a new menu for them. The food was very nice, lobster bisque, good salad, the fish of the day grilled and crème brulee.

I really liked the historic atmosphere and the service was good.

There was a thread about this about a month or 2 ago - don't know if it is still retrievable, but the consensus was that for a state Capital, there are few eating places. Sorry - we have been faced with the same problem. Manchester and Bedford are not that far and they have more choices.
