Sorry I don't eat out in Portland very often but there have been many threads on here discussing it so do a search and see what you can find. Some of them look very fun, good and interesting.

I would try Oba! (Latin/South American food), the bluehour or Wildwood. The bluehour and Wildwood can get kind of noisy, though, so for a romantic dinner, Oba! might be better.

We really enjoy Bewon, on NW 23rd. It is small and very nice/ romantic. There is good review at citysearch.com.

Hi Tammy, I think the restaurant in the Heathman Hotel is hard to beat. The room is pleasant, the service is professional, the food is really fabulous, and the price isn't over the moon. Jim

Tammy,
Laslows is a great restarant ...Excellent food ( NW Cusine)& wine list. In a old house in NW ( off 23rd and Kearny, the Bisto downstairs is casual and the uptsairs is more white table cloth. On a nice day I would ask to be seated on the balcony upstairs.
Not noisy very charming.
Happy Anniversary...
Brenda
