try posting a more informative topic name, it'll get more attention! Like "Looking for Restaurant Ratings websites?" or "Anyone know of a good website for rating restaurants?" HTH!

Zagat does restaurant reviews. People here recommend Chowhound for more mundane restaurants. I think the easiest way would be to do a Google search and enter "best restaurant ...then the name of the city or area you are looking for.

I agree with the prior poster, you need to be more specific in your topic.

Chowhound.com is a great resource for restaurants in metropolitan areas of the U.S.--not sure what LilMsFoodie means by mundane, because in my experience, posters on that board cover an extremely wide range of restaurants from little-known neighborhood places to four-star splurge spots.

Again for large metro areas, citysearch.com has dependable reviews, as well as user reviews, which I like.

Zagat, in my opinion, is best used as a location guide. The blurbs are too short to get a sense for what a given restaurant is really like.

Try the Mobil Travel Guide. Search for specific locations. It's never given us bad information.
