Restaurants

I will be taking a day trip to New York City on Saturday, April 27th. My party will include 30 people. Do you have any suggestions for a resonably priced restaurant that could handle this many people around Macy's.

Try reposting with the words NYC and near Macy's in the heading. You'll get more responses

When you re-post, mention weather it's for lunch or dinner.

Hi Alice...there is a very good Italian restaurant named Carmine's on West 44th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues (about 10 blocks from Macy's) which may be able to accomodate you...they are open for lunch and dinner and everything is served family style so I suggest you go there when you are hungry...their telephone number is (212)221-3800...there are chain fast food restaurants along 34th Street such as McDonald's, Wendy's, pizzerias, and the like, but it doesn't sound like that is what you are looking for...there's also a Houlihan's about a block or two up near the Empire State Building...when I think of restaurants in the city, this particular area doesn't bring to mind too many...Keens Steakhouse on West 36th Street is one of them...Macy's also has a few restaurants located in their store on different floors.

Forget Keens, it's top dollar. Carmine's isn't a bad suggestion.

Also Ruby Foo's is good for a large group (either the one on the Upper West Side or near Times Square). OR Asia de Cuba, Churr. Plataforma (Brazilian), Redeye Grill, Virgil's BBQ.
