Restaurant recommendations in falmouth/mashpee, ma area
My husband and I are going to spend a week in Mashpee, Ma. We need recommendations for restaurants in the area. We especially enjoy seafood.

We like casual Shuckers in nearby ( to Falmouth)Woods Hole for seafood by the water.

Here's what I liked here in Falmouth, Woods Hole, and Mashpee back in 2012. Hopefully, all still true:
Fishmonger Cafe in Woods Hole is very good. RooBar has several locations on the Cape and environs -- I've been to the one in Plymouth, MA, and if the one in Falmouth is as good, it'll be a worthwhile option. Good of their type in Falmouth are Betsy's Diner, Steve's Pizza, and Peking Palace, and Captain Kidd in Woods Hole is okay for pub grub. You can get good coffee at Coffee Obsession (Falmouth and Woods Hole locations), tea and light lunches at Molly's Tea Room, and worthwhile baked goods and hot beverages at Pie in the Sky (Woods Hole) and Pies a la Mode (Falmouth). There's also a branch of the candy chain Ben and Bill's Chocolate Emporium in Falmouth that's very good. The Raw Bar in Mashpee does a huge lobster roll, and it's well worth getting. |
Bleu is a wonderful, upscale French restaurant in Mashpee Commons. A special occasion place.

Thanks for the responses. Our budget is moderate, entrees in the $18-$25 range.

All good suggestions except for Peking Palace - now known as Gourmet Garden (let's just say the health inspector has spent a lot of time there lately).
I will add the following: in Mashpee check out Wicked. In Falmouth - Anejo is on Main Street and has excellent Mexican food. For really good and authentic Thai go to Thai Kitchen in Falmouth. Enjoy your stay! |
