Restaurant recommendations for St. Paul/Minneapolis please!
We are looking for a fun and semi-casual restaurant in Minneapolis or Saint Paul. We are open to any type of cuisine and price range, just hoping to find a nice place (good food, fun atmosphere) that is unique to the Twin Cities for 2 twenty-something couples in town for one night. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The new, hippest place is The Chambers Restaurant http://www.chambersminneapolis.com/ – yes fun, lots of cool artwork you won’t see anywhere else – including the Walker Art Center. If you’re thinking of “downtown” Minneapolis – I would also recommend 112 Eatery http://www.112eatery.com/ – absolutely fabulous-voted #1 restaurant for a reason-they deserve it. Also, I like Ike’s (50 S. 6th Street) – fun atmosphere—good food, reasonable – free chocolate chip cookies. If you’re not downtown-let us know where. I will let the St. Paulites chime in with theirs.

Thanks for the suggestions and now I'm wanting to stay at the Chambers Hotel as well! We will be in Minneapolis and the other couple will be in St Paul, so that's why we could do either location or something in between/nearby. Thanks again! Any others?

I second jbass's recommendations. I love 112 Eatery for the food. I didn't love the food at Chambers Restaurant but I agree, it is new, hip and has a fun bar- definitely worth checking out.
If you are here in the summer, I'd also go to Brit's Pub for drinks. The rooftop is great for lawnbowling and it's pretty close to Chambers.

Solera, also across from Chambers, has great tapas and also a fun rooftop bar.

If you do stay in downtown Mpls, there are plenty of places to walk to within downtown for drinks and food.
Have fun!
