Restaurant rec. for San Francisco for 7yo boy's birthday

Any suggestions for a restaurant in SF in which to celebrate a 7yo boys birthday?
Thanks.

If the adults present wish to retain their sanity, avoid Rainforest Cafe--all those screeching monkeys, the lightning and thunder, oy. I thought I was going to have a seizure. Just like in the rainforest!

How about Alioto's or some other big restaurant at Fisherman's Wharf? He could see the seals before or after dinner, look at the boats, etc. You don't say if other 7 year-olds will be present, but these big fish houses are pretty tolerant of noise.

You didn't say anything about what kind of food you wanted.

How about the Metreon?

I believe there's a restaurant up on the topmost floor for just such occasions - altho I haven't been up there for awhile.

Then there are all those floors of gaming areas, movie theaters, and there's the food court.

It's not Gary Danko, but I'll bet the little ones will have plenty of fun.

If you are looking for something a little more upscale then check out French Laundry.

I'm just having a little fun.

Seriously is there a Chuck E Cheese in SF?

I've got it!

ZEUM!

It's a museum, but it's got a lot of creative things for kids to do, there's a carousel, a cafe for food - it's also next door to the Yerba Buena Gardens where the kids go running around.

Hope you will have a lot of adults too! LOL!

ET, that top floor restaurant "night kitchen" is closed now for at least 3 years.

Chuck-e-cheese's? When my kids were small, we went to Marin for that! Maybe now they've opened one.

Another idea: the SF zoo, easy access by L metro line, you can rent something for a party, or just let them run wild.
