Restaurant Near New Amsterdam Theater
Going to see Lion King at the New Amsterdam Theater. Looking for recommendations for a good restaurant that's not extremely expensive. We are open regarding types of cuisine. Thanks

ronnieh, I too recommend Chez Josephine. It's just west of 9th Avenue, two blocks west of the theater. Call (212-594-1925) at least two weeks before for reservations, especially if it's a weekend. (Don't be alarmed by that previous description of the place as "decadent." It really isn't!)
Another would be Le Madeleine, three blocks from the theater on 43rd Street, also just west of 9th Avenue. (212-246-2993.) If you call there, ask for seats in the Garden Room.
