restaurant near Lake Winnipesaukee NH

My husband and I will be staying 10 minutes west of Lake Winnipesaukee for Thanksgiving and we are looking for some restaurant suggestions for a nice holiday dinner. It will be just the 2 of us so something romantic would be nice, maybe on the water but good food would be more important to us than location and atmosphere. All 3 would be great but....
Thank you!

The Lake House in Meredith, right on the lake, is serving Thanksgiving dinner noon-8PM, reservations required, 603-279-5221. Recommend reserving there, then keep looking if you like.

There's always Hart's Turkey Farm, but not what I'd describe as romantic.

There is (or was) a world-class ice cream restaurant there, I think the name is Kellerhaus. If it's still open -- don't miss it.

Our favorite restaurant in the area used to be The Homestead in Bristol. Not on the water but an old farm house with a nice atmosphere. We haven't been to the Lake House so I can't compare.

THANK YOU all for your information. I called the Lake House and it does not have any availability. I was told however that we could just show up without reservations and more than likely be served in the lounge area. THe food would be the same as the dining area as it is all buffet. Is anyone familiar with the lounge area?
Thanks for the info on the ice cream as I LOVE ice cream. I'll be sure to check that out.
I'll check into the Homestead too as although it would be nice to be on the water it's certainly not imperative. I'd much prefer good food!
We area actually staying in Bridgewater (Next to Plymouth) to any place within 30 minutes of there would be fine really.
Thanks again!!

Try the Daniel Webster Inn, just over the bridge in Sandwich. Lovely place, good dinner for Thanksgiving.

Perhaps Plymouth Plantation may have openingson T day. That is quite fun- though not romantic!

The lounge area of the Lakehouse Grille is very nice. It has fireplaces and views to the lake.
