Restaurant near Dana on the bay San Diego
We are travelling to the states for the first time in September (coming from New Zealand). We have 3 days in San Diego and are booked in to stay at Dana on the Bay. I have looked at their restaurant menu and it does't look overly family friendly. Can any one suggest a restaurant close by (preferably within a 10 minute walk) that is family friendly and at a reasonable price. We are travelling with our two daughters who are 11 and 9 so wanting some simple but good food, does't need to be 5 star.

Walk over to the Mission Beach boardwalk for casual spots.Sportmen's Seafood is nearby. If you're willing to drive, you'll have many more choices. Oscar's Mexican Seafood on Emerald Street in Pacific Beach, north of where you'll be, has fish and shrimp tacos. The Fishery on Cass St in Pacific Beach is more expensive but lots of families dine there.

Unfortunately, the Dana is isolated and there is nothing that close in walking distance.
Mission Beach / Belmont Park is approx a 30 min walk. In a car about 5 mins.
You can take the #8 bus which would take about 10 mins depending on traffic

From Mission Beach you can take the #8 on up to Pacific Beach

Enjoy your stay! Th kids would probably like the food at the casual places near Belmont Park. There's a restaurant in Belmont Park.

The majority of restaurants to where you are staying are in Pacific Beach.

just a suggestion...you will be out about running around all day...going out again in the evening to a restaurant would likely not appeal to me. you have some beautiful grounds at your hotel and a nice pool. i'd consider stopping at a grocery store deli on the way "home" and pick up chicken pieces & salad or sandwiches and spend the evening at the hotel. you could also order in pizza one night.
