Restaurant near 56th W. & 7th?
 

Can anyone recommend a restaurant with good food, nice surroundings, but not too fancy, near 56th and 7th for two adults and two kids 16 & 18?<BR><BR>Thanks.

Under the thread for a restaurant near Columbus Circle I just recommended Bricco...located on 56th, right off of 8th Avenue.

The Red Eye Grill is a great restaurant. I used to avoid it -- somehow I thought from the outside it looked like a TGI Friday's or something. Then I kept reading recommendations here, and found it to be a wonderful restaurant. It's on the corner at 7th and __? within a block or two of your request in any case.

Rue 57 is on the corner of 57th & 6th. We love that place. Huge menu, reasonable prices, convivial.

Carnegie Deli: pretty much a dump but an NYC institution. Get the Pastrami and finish off with the Cheesecake: the best in New York.

Rosie O'Grady's at 51st and 6th I think.

Another solid vote for the Redeye Grill, which happens to be at the corner of 56th & 7th!
