Restaurant in Colorado Springs?
We will be in Colorado Springs on Tuesday night, Aug. 6th, just for one night. (I know this is short notice.)
We would like a suggestion for dinner. We will be coming off a long plane ride, so we're not looking for anything fancy or dressy, but we also are not fast food people, and we love good food.
We would prefer American, Italian, Southwestern, etc. Unfortunately, I can't eat very spicy food.
Thanks for any help.

Sylvia,
I hope this isn't too late but I would suggest heading to the Broadmoor hotel. You will find several options there ranging from casual to fine dining and the grounds and hotel are fun to wander around as well.
If you go, check out the Golden Bee. It's an underground pub shipped over from England. They serve good "pub" fare (steak and kidney pie, fish & chips, etc.) and they have sing-alongs each night. Don't forget to order a yard of ale there as well.
I might also suggest the Tavern at the Broadmoor. A little more upscale as far as food and atmosphere but still fairly casual. They serve steaks, seafood and game there and also feature live music on certain evenings.
Hope you get this in time!

The previous post is good - but the Broadmoor is a little pricey and some areas would require dressing up (not the Golden Bee - very casual, pub atmosphere). Not knowing where you will be staying I would say to try Zio's or the Macaroni Grill for italian, for American - Steak Smith is always wonderful, Marigolds is fantastic, Phantom Canyon is fun, Southwestern - I would vote for El Tesoro - a very quaint mexican restaurant - their green chile is not spicey. These restaurants are located all over Colorado Springs - so no matter where you are staying one should be close by. If you need any phone numbers or directions post again. Have a great time!
