Restaurant ideas in NYC

Hi

I'm looking for a nice restaurant in NYC (Manhattan) that can accommodate a large group of people (+10) and has both non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you,
L

We went to Veselka on 2nd Ave./9th St. with a large group of veg and non-vegs, and everyone found something that made him/her happy!

To help with ideas, what neighborhood are you looking for? Budget? Type of cuisine?

Tony's Di Napoli is a very popular favorite for New Yorkers, and it's one of Mayor Giuliani's favorites. It's on Second Avenue at 83rd Street. Traditional Italian, served family style.

Thank you both. Di Napoli's is an EXCELLENT idea. I was there a while ago with a much smaller group and loved it! I'll make that suggestion. (I'll other other place as a strong second.)

Tony's is a good choice, I've been there often with large groups. Depending on where you'll be, you may want to consider Carmine's also (on upper West Side and in Theatre District as well). Carmine's is more popular, but I've always preferred the food at Tony's.

Carmine's may be "more popular" with tourists, but certainly not with natives. The food is vastly inferior to Tony's Di Napoli, as should be expected at a tourist trap. Stick with the Tony's on Second Avenue on the Upper East Side.
