Restaurant ideas for Booneville, Mendocino and Sonoma
 

We're headed to California soon, staying in Booneville 2 nights, Albion 2 nights, and Sonoma (town) 2 nights.

We have a reservation for dinner at the Booneville Hotel the night we arrive, but need one other dinner idea while staying there.

Similarly, I assume we'll have dinner at the Albion River Inn one of the nights we're there, but what should we do the second night? Perhaps someplace in Mendocino?

And, lastly, we have 2 dinners to figure out while staying at the Gaige House in Sonoma. I was thinking the Girl and the Fig one night--thoughts?

Once or twice, especially in Booneville and Albion, we'd be happy to forage up some supplies and have wine and cheese and such in the room, as the settings are so nice in both places. We'd like a lunch on those days, though, and would love suggestions for that, and for good cheese shops/delis.

Forgot to add, I think NeoPatrick suggested the Moosse Cafe in Mendocino, but, sadly, it's closed.

For picnic supplies, I prefer Sonoma's Best on E. Napa St near 8th. Great sandwiches, hot or cold, salad, all the fixin's. Even have a nice wine and olive bar. From there it's a short hop to Ravenswood, Bartholemew Park, Gundlach Bundschu or Buena Vista wineries.

Had a great dinner at the Girl and the Fig in Sonoma- believe you would need reservations!

Booneville is tough for restaurants. My buddy has a place up there and the Booneville Hotel is about the best. A cheese shop is probably too much to ask for as well, but it has been a while since I was there. The Booneville General Store was pretty good for a lunch and would be as good of a place as any for supplies. There was also a Mexican place, which the Google tells me is called Libby's that wasn't bad.

Thanks, tg, I figured as much. Should we plan to eat dinner in, I dunno, Ukiah?? Or some other place near-ish? We plan to spend the day checking out breweries and wineries and (light) hiking trails, so could get supplies or actually sit down to eat before returning to Booneville for the night.

Ukiah is kind of a PITA to get to IMO.

There are a couple of other places to consider in Boonville, but I have not eaten at either. The Buckhorn is a bar, but does serve food. Lauren's also serves casual food. Neither are terribly expensive, so not much to lose. To be honest, my buddy rarely eats out up there and when he does it is the Boonville Hotel.
