Restaurant for Private Party
 

Would like to have a small, simple wedding reception (approximately 15-25 people) in a private room of a NYC restaurant. Looking for a place with really exceptional food. Any suggestions?

gramercy tavern has a private room for that sort of thing as well. it is fantastic!!!!

A private room at Grammercy Tavern? Nh, I suggest you stop looking now. In fact, am I invited to the wedding????

Many thanks to everyone for their responses. Gramercy Tavern was one I had been considering, glad to hear that you guys agree. The other choices recommended seem great as well. I placed the same post on chowhound.com...thanks for filling me on that site...it's great! Posts on that site recommended 11 Madison Park and Gramercy Tavern, but I actually got more responses through this site so far. I really appreciate your help!

Gramercy Tavern has a private party room? Well now I know where I want *my* wedding reception.

There is a neat place called Vine it is downtown and is an old bank vault- very cool private space. also, Judson Grill, Fiamma, Picholine, and Remi
