Restaurant for 25th Wedding Anniv in Santa Ynez/Los Osos?
 

In a couple of weeks we are traveling up the coast for our 25th. We plan to stay a couple nights at Fess Parkers and would appreciate any restaurant advice for a special romantic dinner. We plan to stop at the Hitching Post one night, but are wondering if there isn't perhaps somewhere more special? Thanks!

Los Olivos Cafe (losolivoscafe.com) or Mattei's Tavern come to mind.

We had a very nice dinner at Los Olivos Cafe, very good food, wine and service. There is a wall of wine to browse through also. Save room for the chocolate "scream" dessert if you go there. ***kim*** ((f))

Atmosphere at Mattei's Tavern is a bit nicer, but food is good at both.

I was there for lunch in Feb. and we were suprised how good the food was at the Los Olivos Cafe.It's not really a fancy restaurant though. Here's the menu - scroll to the bottom for the dinner menu.

Be sure to stop in the Consilience tasting room a few doors down and try their Bien Nacido Pinot. It was fantastic.
