Restaurant choice in Savannah

We arrive in Savannah on Mon. Trying to decide on the restaurant that night something close to the Doubletree Hotel. Would like the Lady and Three Sons. Can you not phone for a reservation before you arrive? Something on the website about lining up about 3:30 to make reservations. Also looked at Bistro Savannah. Any other suggestions.

I would not bother with Lady & Sons, but would do Bistro Savannah, Pink House, or Elizabeths on 37th...all excellent. Garibaldi too...even Il Pasticcio over Lady and Sons. :)

Bistro Savannah or Garibaldi's.
They are sister restaurants to my favorite, The Pink House. The Pink House is not too far away, but the other two are closer to the Doubletree.

I'd pick Garibaldi's, but that's just personal preference. All three of these are a bit pricey - but wonderful!

Great minds, OO!

Elizabeth's is far away - you have to drive. The other 3 are in walking distance - and the two are within a couple of blocks.

We really enjoyed dinner at Lady & Sons last year. This year, we joined the line just after 4PM and were given an 8:45 seating time.

We had reservations at Bistro Savannah (where we also enjoyed a very nice meal last year), but when we walked by, the menu was not posted (and it was very, very loud there last year), so we phoned and cancelled.

Highly recommend Vic's on the River, the Pink House, Jazz'd, Sapphire Grill, and Huey's.

We had lunch at Hueys (on River Street). Not close to Doubletree - need a car - on way to Tybee Island is Uncle Bubbas Seafood and Oyster House. It is in Paula Dean family - don't remember if it is her brother or a son - but it was fun and casual.

Last year, we took the Paula Deen tour. Great tour if you're a fan. Lunch at Uncle Bubba's is included (excellent), along with the ability to make reservations by phone.
