Restaurant/Cafe near Garment District, LA

Can you recommend a fun/affordable/funky good food type restaurant or cafe near the garment district in LA...

Angelique Cafe serves Breakfast and lunch only, and closed Sundays.

Cicada is an italian place nearby with an Art Deco design, its in the historic Oviatt Bldg on Olive St.

Clifton's Cafeteria is always fun north of the garment district, or the famous Phillipe's French Dip.

I was also going to say Angelique, or for deli type food Cole's or the Yorkshire Grill on 6th. Yorkshire grill is open 7 days til 4pm.

There are quite a few little hole-in-the-wall places in the garment district. But if you're looking for something fun/affordable/funky, I don't think there's anything like that there. Depending on how far you're willing to walk, there's a few places not too too far away. The famous Pantry is on 9th and Figueroa, which is about 7-8 blocks from the heart of the garment district. Grand Central Market is a fun place to eat. That's on Broadway between 3rd and 4th St., which is quite a bit away if you're walking. But if you have a car, then there are tons of places to eat nearby. Little Tokyo is nearby as well as Chinatown, where the famous Phillipes is located. Korea town is also not too far away.

I don't rate the Pantry as "good food". Just my opinion. Kind of greasy and bland.

Thank you for your help. Angelique Cafe seems like the perfect place. I looked their menu up online. It is a little more than I wanted to spend, but, still seems very nice. (I decided to take our trip on Saturday)

Any other suggestions are welcome.
