Restaurant after show
Need some advice for a restaurant after matinee on sunday in December. Traveling with two children 14 and 10. Either restaurant in Times square or closer to Rockefeller Center, where we will go see the tree after dinner. Thank you for any help

Budget? Favored or no-go cuisines?

if you're up for trying something a bit different, Ruby Foo's is a great restaurant, children suprisingly tend to like it...

Will be packed, but Rock. Ctr. Cafe has views of the ice skating rink.
John's pizzeria near Times Square is kid friendly if they want pizza. Ellen's Stardust diner with the singing waiters would be inbetween TS and Rock. CTr. but it too will be packed at that time and food's overpriced (but kids like it). Virgil's BBQ is another popular place with families. Cafe Un Deux Trois is a big French braserie (burgers etc.) that's kid friendly with the paper table cloths for scribbling. Look at reviews on menupages.com |
Try John's pizza on 44th Street between Broadway & 8th Avenue. Their menu is exensive, not just offering pizza, and food is quite good. The place is family friendly.
Or, there's SAM's Cafe on W. 46th St. |
Virgils BBQ and John Pizza are great suggestions. Theres also a delicious, and inexpensive, Chinese Restaurant called Westside Cottage 2 on 9th Ave and 48th street, and Joe Allen's is a popular after-theater restaurant.
