Resta near Madison Sq Garden
 

Two friends are going to see George Michael at MSG. Does anyone have any restaurant recommendations? The restaurant has to by nearby as the concert starts at 8 PM. They want to eat around 5 PM.

I know this area is not great for dining. The restaurant doesn't have to be fabulous.

Artisanal is within walking distance of MSG and the food is excllent. Keens Steakhouse is also fantastic.

The best pre-concert restaurant is <b>Tir Na Nog</b>, across 8th Ave from MSG.

It has a great atmosphere, good food, and it plays music from the artist for a few hours before the show.

Yes, it gets crowded, but I doubt there will be a wait at 5pm.

It's a MUCH better choice than Mustang Harry's.

There is:
-Nick &amp; Steph's steakhouse which is in the Garden
-Tupelo Grill which is across the street from the Garden
-local west also across the street from the Garden and has an outdoor area upstairs.
