Resort Style Hotel near Ontario or Corona
I will be in this area for a few days in June or July. Any suggestions for a nice resort-style hotel? Most seem to be high-rise business style properties close to freeways. I'd like some place with nice grounds and a good pool area. Can be a bit west, also, as I'll be driving in one day to visit relatives in Fullerton. A small boutique style place would be OK, too...don't like huge hotels with long walks to car and/or pool. I used to stay at Griswolds in Claremont, but understand it has really gone downhill.

Thanks, Wellvis. I had actually considered the Mission Inn.
I remember driving by it once and thinking it looked nice.
Maybe that would be the best bet. At least it is not a concrete block along the freeway.

I think they just opened up a new boutique hotel in the area (weird because there aren't usually any boutique hotels around ontario/corona).
www.aloft.starwoodhotels.com
It's listed as aloft-ontario rancho cucamonga.
Hope this was what you were looking for.
As beautiful as the mission inn is...I don't think it's really a boutique type hotel...

I wouldn't necessarily call it a "boutique" property -- w/ its self serve snack bar . . . .
I did have to smile thinking "boutique" or "resort" and "Ontario" in the same sentence. Don't think I've ever seen that. If you don't want the aLoft or Mission Inn, then your best bets ARE the business hotels near the freeways
