Resort Advice Needed for Santa Fe

Can anyone recommend a resort near Santa Fe, but not on the Plaza? We'd like to find a 4 or 5 star place, within a 15 or 20 minute drive (other than Bishop's Lodge where we have already stayed). We're looking for nice pool(s), beautiful grounds, possibly horseback riding and/or other activities. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I think the "BEST" closest resort is the Hyatt Tamaya Resort outside of Albuquerque. Many of the 4-5 star lodgings in Sante Fe are inns or b&b's.

Agree that Tamaya is a great choice- Very unique as set in an Indian Reservation. Great Spa and Golf Course, as well as pools. Don't miss the trail ride into the back hills-accessible only on horseback.

You may want to look into Ten Thousand Waves which is world reknown. It's a Japanese Spa and I believe they also provide lodging: www.tenthousandwaves.com

The rooms at Ten Thousand Waves are pretty spartan from what I've read, and they don't offer horseback riding.

Tamaya is 45 minutes south of Santa Fe.

The Bishop's Lodge is the only resort I can think of near Santa Fe.
