Residence Inn Washington DC/ Capitol - Question

Hi!
I was just wondering if this hotel was in a safe neighborhood. We do not stay out late at night but just wondering about walking back to the hotel in the early evening.

If this is the one on E Street SW, it's mostly office buildings down there (I actually work right next to there on my current contract). If you'll be seeing the sights in town near the mall, you shouldn't need to be worried about walking back to the hotel. The nearest metro stations are Federal Center SW (about two blocks) and L'Enfant Plaza.

I agree - neighborhood is safe and convenient to sights but somewhat boring.

Thanks to both of you. Boring is ok with me as long as it is safe. :) We are morning people anyway.

Be advised that there is heavy construction going on right next door and the sidewalk to your right (as you exit the hotel) is closed. Traffic's not too bad there and if you're walking to Federal Center SW you'll exit to your left anyway, but just an FYI.

Thanks for the heads up, PennStateMark.
