rental car in HW
I live in Europe and plan to visit the Hawaiian islands next February and March. I need a car in each island.
The rental time is from 3 days to 9 days, depending of the island. My question for the Hawaiian addicts : how do you rent a car, which company, which rate code (AWD, CDP, BCD or coupons) ? What is a good rate for one week in Februry/March (LIA and taxes included, but not LDW) for a small car ? Thank very much for your help. |

Check the sites of the individual rental agencies. For example www.goalamo.com If you see a good rate, book it, you can always replace it later with another booking if you see a better rate.
I've no idea what next year's rates might be but I'd *guess* at around $250/week base rate for a small car - plus *all* the taxes - February/March is prime season, occupancies high all around. Watch for car specials, maybe as part of accomodation deals etc. Good luck hunting but you are leaving it rather late for high season. |
I have been checking the rates for my January trip to Oahu. Alamo appears to have the best rates. It was cheaper than what I could get on Priceline or Hotwire. I got a 4 door compact (the smallest is economy)for 8 days with tax and fees, the total is $198.99. Check www.alamo.com.

thank enjoylife.
I do not succeed to have this rate in February. What "code rate" do you use? |
