Where can I get a cheap rental car for about 29.99 for a day? Staying at Treasure Island and would want to pick it up near there.<BR>

We got a great price on a car rental at www.cheaptickets.com We got an Alamo rental for MUCH less than they wanted on the Alamo website.

Try SmarterLiving.com - we've had good luck with them in the past. Also we've found good rates with Budget on their website.

I have been trying to book a rental car online for Dec 26-29 in Las Vegas, but have had no luck. Everyone seems to be sold out. The only response I got was from Hertz for an economy car for around $65/day !!.<BR><BR>Any suggestions?

Check out Enterprise. Take a shuttle from Airport to hotel and Stardust hotel has an Enterprise Office. Picked up car on Friday returned on Monday - Dodge Neon - paid $32.00 total. Now that's a deal. 100 miles a day. Loved It!!!!!! I travel alot - best deal in town.

Don't know why renting a car is so difficult and expensive in Las Vegas. I did get a good deal with US Rent-a-car (agent next to the Budget place across Treasure Island) for $32/day and unlimited mileage. For another 3 days, I had a car from Dollar for $39/day, plus taxes which amounts to 23% in Las Vegas. There is a Dollar booth in Treasure Island, but don't place your bet there. When I was there, the agent casually told one of the renters that there will be a two hour wait, and that is the way it was. Fortunately my booking was in the Airport, where there was no wait.

Stay away from Alamo. They may be cheap, but their service, etc. is terrible. Try priceline for rental cars...
