Rental car drop off in FLL
 

We'll be taking a Princess cruise out of Fort Lauderdale in November. We're going to Orlando first, renting a car there and driving to FLL. We hope to drop the car off as close as possible to the cruise port - at most a short cab ride. Hertz and Avis preferred because of corporate discounts. Anyone know where the closest drop-off locations of either rental agency would be?Please advise, thanks.

lk-- There ARE NO cruise port drop offs in FLL-- You will need to drop the car at Hertz or Avis AT FLL AIRPORT_and take a short $5 cab ride to the cruise port--ALL dropoffs closest to the cruises are the FLL AIRPORT locations-<BR><BR>We did this last year and it worked out fine-

We used Avis at the FLL airport. I know of no other drop-off except the airport. Avis was very good, fast easy in and out. Not a problem. I also used corporate discounts. If you are going on the Princess cruise line they will more than likely provide transportation to the dock. You need to contact the cruise line. They are the most likely people to offer advice.
