Dick,
My Husband and I go to Reno every December and we have stayed at quite a few hotels, but I think our favorite is Silver Leagacy. the other one we like is the Flamingo Hilton. I hope this helps some.

Deb..

Thanks for the response.

I did a search, first, and it looked like people liked the Eldorado....but the messages were quite old...so I appreciate your update.
Dick

Definitely the Silver Legacy, as it is the newest, nicest place in Reno. Most of the hotels and casinos in Reno are older, and some are just plain run down.

The Atlantis is by far the best hotel in the Reno area. We have stayed at almost every decent place in Reno but the Atlantis is head and shoulders above the rest. It is not downtown which is actually a blessing. One of the bad things about staying downtown is the train. It will surely wake you up.

The Atlantis is located about 4 miles south of downtown right next to the convention center. In fact we just got back from spending 5 days there. It is a very unique property with excellent restaurants and the best buffet in Reno.
