Renaissance Resort Orlando @ Sea World
Has anyone been to this resort and can you give any feedback on the resort itself and activities in the area? Excluding Sea World and Discovery Cover, maybe some cheaper options? We'll be there 3 nites before going over to Old Key West. Thank you very much for your help!!

I would also be interested in information about this hotel. I just received it on priceline for $69 a night.

We have stayed at this hotel (thanks to Priceline). It is a large property directly adjacent to Seaworld. There is a large atrium and the rooms seemed large and very well kept. There is not much to do within immediate walking distance (other than Seaworld). We ended up only eating at the hotel breakfast once, it was a typical hotel breakfast. Seemed like a good value to us.

I've been to the hotel 3 times in the last 3 years - but only to eat their amazing Sunday Brunch!!
Our party of seven all agree it is one of the highlights of the holiday. Unlimited champagne, a massive choice of very nice food, and desserts to die for. The atmosphere in the atrium is very relaxing - and a 3/4 piece band slowly go from table to table serenading throughout the time you are there. We saw in one of the rooms whilst there 3 weeks ago. Reasonable in size and very nicely decorated. To get it at $69 would be money well spent in my opinion. I know our visits have only been for one long relaxing day of eating, drinking, admiring the large pool of coy carp and small aviary - but if the level of service and welcoming atmosphere we have enjoyed is typical, then I would feel inclined to say your stay there would be a good one. As pointed out, other than Sea World, there isn't much within the immediate vicinity I'd say is within walking distance. However, as a Scot on vacation - I am now accustomed to the vast area that Orlando is - and know that many other amenities are 'just around the block' !! Brian |
Thank you very much for your responses.
We will have a car, so we plan to drive to city walk and maybe to the Mercado shopping area. The atrium sounds like it is a very pretty and exotic area. Thanks again! Laurie |
Thank you very much!! Luckily we too will have a car and I will definately look forward to that Sunday Brunch it sounds wonderful.
I was hoping that the "trolley" came to this place because I know my kids would really enjoy that. |
