Renaissance Hotel NYC

Can anyone tell me anything about this hotel. Is it nice and safe? They have a good rate of $179.00. Will be in NYC over memorial weekend and looking for nice, safe and affordable accomodations.

It's a very nice hotel in a convenient Times Square location. That's not a bad price at all.

You couldn't be in a better location if Times Square and the theater district are places you want to visit. Hotel is of relatively new construction and is located between 47th and 48th St. Front of the hotel faces 7th Avenue, back faces Broadway. If you get a room facing south you will see all of Times Square laid out below you. There is something about the address I could never figure out. The address of the hotel is 2 Times Square - as indicated above it is located on 47th St. 1 Times Square is located at 42nd Street. The other night I noticed that 3 Times SQuare is on 43rd Street. Only in NY. At any rate a quality hotel and that is a good price.

I paid a lot more for my stay at the Renaissance. We enjoyed our stay very much...great location, great services, nice room, etc. I'll stay here on my next trip to NYC.
Have a great trip,
j.

I agree with all of the above posters. It's a nice hotel, and great location. And I think you've got a good rate. I only paid $75 to stay there, but I have a friend who works for Marriott. I would, however, pay full price to stay there again. While we were there, we met up with friends staying at the Hilton, and our Renaissance room was much nicer (and the Hilton room cost $300/night.).
